Pass into the Shadow
By Lissa Howe
A big cat strolls through an empty lot,
Spotting him I scream,
I catch his eye,
I start to run.
I go through some wild flowers.
Where was I?
I was no longer were I was moments ago,
I was in Africa, Maybe?
I dash through some untamed, dead grass,
I stumble into a couple of trees,
I fall into a lake in my confusion,
I get back up and it jumps on me knocking me over.
He rips off my flesh, right to the bone.
Then It plunges at my head and with in a few painful moments my body goes numb and I pass in to the shadows of all that the past holds.
