A Pirate's Duel

Captured has my heart been

And you, a swashbuckling maniac, grasp it selfishly

With your callused hands

Accustomed to a good ol' challenge

Such as taming my wild heart

Holding it for ransom

So arrogant to assume your authority over me

I am my own person

I don't need you, like you seem to believe

You've one twisted perception of my motives

I do not intend to allow you to wriggle ransom out of me

To add to your multitude of greedy plunder

Instead, I shall challenge you to a merciless duel

With my sharpened saber, I shall slice your overly-inflated ego

And I shall steal back what is rightfully mine

Before I surrender to the tantalizing thought

Of letting you keep my heart
