I see the way you look at me

My t-shirt catching your eye

With the insignia of that you hate

You hate my clothes

You hate my hair

I see your judgment of me

This is like me saying

I HATE YOUR UNDERWEAR!

When I have only seen your pinstripe suit

You see me as a stereotype

Of your enemy

I tell you this dear passerby

You can shave my head

You can put me in a uniform

My eyes will tell the story

My voice will sing the song

I wait for the day

That our faces are our own

That if others look at us

They see us but also listen

A song or a photograph, which tells you more?

I am not a symbol, is that all you see?

I am myself, and that is all I can be
