Very strange
The portrait of a happy marriage
And a prison cell
All in one
He loves her, she's his saviour
But he's controlling her
And she doesn't like that very much
I think she was almost in tears

It's nobody's fault
That manipulation
Is reciprocal
In this day and age
And humanity may have failed
But that's a little jaded
Pointlessly, I added my words
To a debate in which I showed no interest
And someone said that I was a good man
Before I started walking home

Yesterday I went out at dawn
To take a photograph
Of a boarded up office block
But it was raining
And the camera was powerless
The pictures don't look so good
But every day
There is another dawn.
