Lost in this wild new land

Intimidating and unfamiliar faces press down upon her

As she tries to find her way among the unknown,

But feel the current is too strong and forcing her further downstream.

She slips farther down but is offered not an outstretched hand to grasp.

Consuming her is this black twister;

Drowning in her tears

Made up of her fears and doubts.

She feels herself dying inside

As she struggles to keep her head above the surface.
