It's my day off. I shouldn't have to do homework. Isn't it some Jewish holiday anyway? I really have no clue. But that doesn't matter. It's still a day off from school. Shouldn't that mean a day off from schoolwork, especially if it's like some Jewish guy's birthday? I should be partying, not writing some stupid essay on the American Revolution. I don't exactly care if some French General was talking badly about the United States. What does that have to do with me?

I mean, we go to school for 7 hours, come home, and do homework for 4 or 5 more hours, not understanding half of what we're doing.

Where's the life?

Where's the love?

Where's the adventure?

Life can't be taught completely by books and movies. I think it's quite stupid to see people even try. Sometimes we need that day off.

To go driving with our friends.

To get a ticket.

To ride our bikes in the woods.

To fall and scrape our knees.

To learn from ourselves.

Not watch someone's video on how parasites eat at your intestines.

Where's the drama?

Where's the passion?

Where's the FUN?

We should be given a choice as to whether we want to succeed in life. Whether we want to study math, or English, or both. What does it matter if I read Shakespeare if I'm a rich architect? And do I really need to know the quadratic formula if my career path is as a vet?

The bruises and the cuts we sustain help us get through the heart attacks and the car crashes.

So what are you going to do with your today?

Or your tomorrow?

What will you do with your life?

Here's what I suggest.

Get out there and get yourself hurt. Make mistakes, but make them worth it. Work as hard as you can, whether you want to or not.

High school, psh, piece of cake.

Life, now that's a different story.
