Prologue

Have you ever thought life is a game? Like every decision you make comes down to two things. Win or Lose. Everyone goes through the routine process of being born and then dying. Some factors are fixed and others are flexible.

Some people choose to go to college, to university. Others choose to go straight to the workforce. Then there's those that dedicates their lives to looking after their family. Some people choose to get married, others choose to live together. And some take vows of celibacy, dedicating their lives to God.

All these choices are made for two reasons, to attain success and happiness. And that's the objective of the game.

And like all games, there are obstacles. These can be other players, or external factors such as chance cards or landing at the wrong place. In real life they can be environmental disasters or trying to compete for a promotion.

Some people win in life. People like Richard Branson and Bill Gates. Others don't. They lose to drugs or homicide. They get stuck in unhappy marriages. They fail to achieve happiness or success.

Then there's those that get betrayed. Either by business partners or their loved ones. That's what happened in my case. No, I wasn't betrayed. I was the betrayer.

And now I will pay the price.
