The Same

Up in your chair

You stare down at us

And pretend to be

Almighty and knowing

You send your people

Against each other

To fight your battles

As you please

Let the innocent die

And the rest get off

While you laugh at us

As if we are a joke

We are nothing but your pawns

The pieces of your chess

And when you get tired

Of looking down on us

You put us back on

The same dusty shelf

Different faiths

Mean nothing to you

Catholic or Satanist

We are worshipping

the same person anyways

So sit on your chair

Play your games

Eventually other people will see

The same God that I

Have been seeing
