The sun rose up
In the east today
And I didn't raise a fight
Walking backwards in the crowd
Something isn't right
My sentence read
From right to left
And not once I'd have the might
To question the authority,
Something isn't right
Picking flowers
Daffodils
He loves me, don't lose sight!
But his equations don't add up
Something isn't right
God cried down
His silent rain
Not ceased 'till break of night
A non-stop pour since quarter-past four
Something isn't right
I try not
To disrespect
Though it's hard to be polite
When my world's caught in the swirl
Something isn't right
Fires freeze
And dwindle out
Determined to ignite
Ice paves way to judgment day
Something isn't right
Teach me how
To turn the clock
Flee the ultraviolet light
Fast-forward through these chronic blues
Something isn't right
I sit alone
In backwards world
Many verses to recite
I jot them down to raise my frown
Something isn't right
