only in fairytales
"for who could ever love a beast?"
all the world's a musical,
a corny Disney movie,
parts of it are more pleasant than others,
each sex plays a different stereotypical part.
the pretty girl meets prince charming;
the prince will only accept the "fair lady."
what about the not quite pretty,
not ugly, per say... but plain all the same.
overlooked by sexists and chauvinists,
hopeless in their existence.
someday their prince will come too, right?
"in dreams he came"
"happily ever after..."
forever is eternity, infinite in length
and all life ends the same way...
not happily by any means
we're all eventually left in the dirt,
forgotten in our wooden padded coffin,
fighting for the life we once treasured.
