I am

All yours

Toy with my coral mouth

Eyes seductive as

A thunderstorm

Flashes of

Darkness settled over traffic lights

Pavement steaming with tire tracks

Heat rises

Run past shutdown buildings

Dense and rusted and older than the street names

Curtains drawn

A culture ashamed of its Broken-ness

Tears hidden under hard pillows

Unbrushed and uncombed

We walk as if nothing matters

Flashing lights and sirens

Patterns of failure

Can you see us changing?

Red streaking down

Faded curls

I am

All yours.
