Unknown

Hypnotic sway in windless air
Reach out and touch it, if you dare
So hot on cold, it burns the skin
So strong, it lets nobody in

It gathers darkness in its shell
A deep and never-ending well
The burden of a thousand fears
It sheds through sheets of fiery tears

Its wavering red and yellow light
Can warm the flesh and clear the sight
But every birth must leave a bone
And give them shadows of their own

It shakes with laughter as it cries
And pleads with depthless, unseen eyes
Reach out and touch it, and belong
In pain that it's felt all along
