Moonlight

I seem to be writing loads of nature-ly poems nowadays...sorry if u don't like...how about a review tho?

It's getting dark, we have to hurry,

Who knows what lurks in the shadows at night?

It's best to huddle and keep on moving,

Stay close and hold my hand really tight.

The Moon is up and looks quite spooky,

But it sends down rays of light,

And we use it to guide us home,

Hoping that we make it alright.

- - -

Moonlight, guide us home,

Make us safe and sound,

Protect us from the darkness,

And evil all around.

Moonlight, pure and white,

Send us your blessings and your love,

Sprinkle magic dust on our path,

And fairy spells from above.

- - -

Tip-toeing across grass silently,

Crunching gravel beneath our feet,

Sliding across puddles and wet dew,

Swimming across waters so true.

- - -

Looking forward, glancing back,

Eyeing sideways, this way and that,

Then staring above at the luminous sky,

At the Moon and the rays of blinding moonlight.

- - -

Moonlight, guide us home,

Make us safe and sound,

Protect us from the darkness,

And evil all around.

Moonlight, pure and white,

Send us your blessings and your love,

Sprinkle magic dust on our path,

And fairy spells from above...
