Dear Diary
Chapter 10: Dysfunctional Heartthrobs – The New Moonlyte
"Moonlyte, Moonlyte… What have you done?" Nam Jina asked aloud as she paced back and forth in Moonlyte's guest room. "I should have known you'd be trouble for these boys."
She moved toward the bed where Moonlyte lied asleep and felt her forehead for what seemed like the hundredth time— Still no sign of a fever. She then tucked Moonlyte in, sat on a chair beside her bed, and sighed.
"You caused a lot of chaos last night, kid." She yawned, "Who would have thought that KangTa and that idiot, MinWoo, would have made such a fuss in front of the guests? What an embarrassment." Jina shook her head, "And here you are in the middle of it all."
Moonlyte turned in her sleep.
Last night's altercation between KangTa and MinWoo woke some of the guests on their floor and had the other four boys running in to break up the fight. MinWoo was demanded to leave Moonlight Castle in front of the crowd but he refused to leave without Moonlyte. Thus, Jina promised to watch over her for the night. Andy and DongWan left with MinWoo, leaving JunJin and Hyesung to calm KangTa down.
"I've never seen him so angry." Jina spoke aloud once more.
While JunJin talked with KangTa that night, HyeSung filled Jina in with what was going on. He revealed KangTa's obsession with Moonlyte; how he watched her for months and claims to be in love with her. He then spoke of how MinWoo was bewitched by her.
"She's trouble." HyeSung said.
Jina couldn't agree any more. These boys were her family; she loved every single one of them like a brother. But now it seemed that her family was splitting apart because of Moonlyte.
"If you were any other girl, I'd run you out of this country." Jina laughed, "Lucky you."
"Talking to yourself again?" said a voice by the door. HyeSung made his way in with a cup of tea and handed it to Jina. "You know that's not normal, right?"
Jina just smiled and drank the tea.
"So how's our patient this morning?" he asked, referring to Moonlyte.
"It's weird, she doesn't even stir in her sleep. She slept like a baby." Jina said, taking a sip of tea.
"At least someone got some peace last night." HyeSung rubbed his sleepless eyes beneath his glasses. "It took us a while but Jin and I got KangTa to relax about an hour ago. He should be ready to welcome the guests for breakfast soon."
"So what happens now?"
HyeSung pushed up his glasses, "I don't know."
Jina sighed. Nothing like this has ever happened to the group before. Sure, sometimes KangTa would come and go, but his loyalties were tied to their deranged "family". Every single person in the group was completely different from each other, but there are two qualities that each shared: They're rich and they're heart breakers.
After a moment of silence, HyeSung spoke again, "Neither of the two is willing to back down. In a situation like this, you'd expect MinWoo to win as he always does… But it looks like KangTa refuses to give this one up." He gestured toward Moonlyte's sleeping figure.
"I still don't understand why MinWoo had you use her as his number twelve. She's not even his type!"
"Maybe there's a side to it that he's not telling us, Ji-Nah."
"What, is he stalking her, too?" She scoffed, "Don't tell me you think he might actually care for the girl. MinWoo's incapable of caring for anyone but himself!"
"Jina…"
"He's an idiot, HyeSung. I don't know what he's doing with her but I swear, I'll find out. And when I do—"
Hyesung's hand suddenly clamped over her mouth. "You're cranky."
Jina rolled her eyes then licked his hand but Hyesung was immune to it. These two have been friends ever since they were kids; Jina's saliva wasn't going to stop him from having his way with her, especially now that they're older.
HyeSung lifted her from the chair and walked her toward the sofa where he laid her down, "You need some sleep." He said, removing his hand from her mouth.
Jina looked into his eyes and rubbed the dark circles forming under them with her thumb, "You look like you could use some sleep too."
HyeSung didn't resist when Jina pulled him in next to her on the sofa. He stroked her hair as she laid her head on his chest and they fell asleep almost instantly.
-------
"Good morning, Sunshines!" JunJin greeted as he burst through the door of Moonlyte's guest room. No one responded. The room was dark with little sunrays seeping through cracks of the curtain. He walked straight to the window and opened them, letting sunlight fill the dim room. "I said, 'good morning, Sunshines!'"
"JunJin, what the hell?" Jina exclaimed sleepily as she buried her head into HyeSung's chest.
"This is precisely why I hate sleeping in the same building as him." HyeSung shielded his eyes with his forearm.
JunJin jumped on top of them, "It's not polite to say things you don't mean, buddy. You know you love when I'm around."
"Get off me!" HyeSung demanded as he shoved JunJin off of him.
JunJin hit his head against the bed post, "Ow!"
"Quiet down you guys! Moonlyte's still sleeping!" Jina yelled.
At that instant, all three pairs of eyes turned to Moonlyte's bed only to find it empty and neatly made.
Jina jumped up and ran to the bed, flinging off the sheets and pillows. "Where is she? Where the hell is she?!"
JunJin and HyeSung looked at each other.
"KangTa's gonna' kill us." They said in unison.
-------
On the first floor, Moonlyte stood by the double door entrance of Moonlight Castle. She once again managed to slip away unnoticed. Of course, it was simple considering her caretakers, Jina and HyeSung, were fast asleep. But this time she felt a pang of guilt for simply leaving without a word.
Though she seemed unconscious, Moonlyte could hear everything going on in her room that night before fully passing out. She heard the fight between MinWoo and KangTa, heard HyeSung explain everything to Jina, and even woke up in time to hear Jina's threat of running her out of the country.
She inhaled sharply when remembering this. The only person she respected among the social Nazis thinks she's troublesome. She felt like a dark cloud raining over everyone. Ever since she heard Jina make that comment, she pretended to sleep until she found an opportunity to sneak out. Now here Moonlyte was, standing by the entrance and contemplating on whether she should see KangTa before she left.
How did her life manage to turn completely upside down? This had to be some sort of prank on her. How else could anyone explain the mess she's currently in?
Lee MinWoo. Ahn Chilyun. Her heart raced at the thought of them.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid!" She yelled at herself while hitting her forehead. What made her think this was real?! This is just a trick… a prank to make her look like the butt of their stupid little jokes. She needed to get out of there before she fell for their dumb tricks. Thus, she grabbed the large handle of the double doors and yanked it with every bit of denial she had.
But before she could take a step forward, her breath was already taken away by the figure standing in front of her.
KangTa smiled, "You always did have a thing for sneaking away…"
All of her anger suddenly subsided. She didn't know whether she was glad or mad that it was KangTa standing there but a smile slowly crept to her lips. He looked amazing with his messy, light brown hair shining in the sunrise. He was leaning comfortably against a pillar, dressed in casual clothes unlike the expensive attire he's normally in. She couldn't explain it, but seeing him this way calmed her down almost instantly. She felt giddy.
KangTa observed her expression, "You're happy to see me?"
Moonlyte blushed and turned away. She cursed herself for the way she was acting but couldn't help it. She felt like a shy school girl in his presence. 'What's wrong with me?!' she thought angrily.
When she didn't answer him, KangTa spoke again, "Before you leave, I just wanted to apologize about last night. I didn't plan on coming off as a psychopath. My intentions were to tell you the truth, Moonlyte. And now that I've done so, well… I was hoping to receive an answer from you."
Moonlyte's heart raced. He wanted an answer now? How was she supposed to answer when she didn't know a thing about him? He may know her, but she didn't know him. As far as she was concerned, he was just a stranger to her.
But here she was standing in front KangTa, Kyang Min's most eligible bachelor, who was offering himself to her. If this was just a joke, then KangTa sure as hell was one great actor. Or… She pinched the side of her arm to see if she was dreaming and yelped inside— she was definitely awake.
Just then, she remembered what Jina said about her, "I'm trouble."
"Is that supposed to scare me away?" KangTa now looked at her, his marble-black eyes piercing into hers yet again.
"N-No… I…" Damn it, she couldn't think with him looking at her like that. Now she could see why he and MinWoo were friends; they were intimidating in all the same ways! She took a deep breath then started again, "I don't want to cause problems between you and your friends."
KangTa scoffed, "Don't worry about that imbecile, MinWoo."
Moonlyte's eyes widened, "But you two are friends!"
"It's a love/hate friendship with a guy like him."
"But—"
"Moonlyte," He spoke her name softly and she felt a shiver run down her spine, "MinWoo and I… All of us, we've been friends ever since grade school. We're like family. But as of now, MinWoo's my rival." He stood straight now, no longer leaning against the pillar, "If you don't mind me asking, why did you accompany him last night?"
Moonlyte shrugged then looked down, "I don't know."
KangTa examined her for a moment then grinned, "Hm… I've never seen that expression before."
"What?"
"You must be lying."
Moonlyte's head snapped up. Was she so easy for him to read?
"Are you infatuated with him, then?" he now asked, his curiosity breaking his nonchalant manner.
Moonlyte paused for a moment, opened her mouth to answer then closed it again, unable to. Was she infatuated with MinWoo? She didn't know. When she bit her bottom lip, KangTa ran a hand through his hair in obvious annoyance.
That was enough of an answer for him.
He laughed under his breath, "You can do better than that dimwit."
"Don't say that." She smiled, trying to suppress her true amusement at insulting Minwoo.
KangTa moved toward her, "What is it about him that gets to you? The way he flaunts his money?" he laughed.
To her surprise, Moonlyte found herself laughing with him, "Yes, I just love that about him."
"The way he acts as if he owns the world?" he took another step closer to her.
"I couldn't be more attracted to that." She rolled her eyes, laughing, not noticing that KangTa now stood in front of her.
"The way he thinks he can control you?" He asked more seriously.
Moonlyte, humored by their conversation, continued on. "That's definitely what I look for in a man!"
Suddenly she felt a hand brush the hair from her face. KangTa looked at her now, all humor gone from his expression. "I would do you much better than that." He said.
Moonlyte instantly sobered from her amusement and felt her heart skip a beat when KangTa came closer. His eyes locked onto hers.
She gasped lightly once his warm hands touched her bare shoulders. To Moonlyte's surprise, she didn't feel the urge to run away like she normally did. No, she liked the way his hands felt on her skin. She felt like butterflies fluttered in her stomach under his touch. He trailed his hands down her arms, to her elbows, then shifted to her waist and Moonlyte's body quivered. His firm grip on her waist had her legs feeling weak and she liked it.
KangTa pressed his body against hers, gently pushing her against the wall. His eyes traveled down to where Moonlyte's chest touched his, "I know you," He said and smiled when he felt her heart beat faster, "I know how you move. I know how to make you move."
Moonlyte spoke something inaudible, barely able to form words.
KangTa laughed, his warm breath intermingling with Moonlyte's. He placed a hand at the small of her back and pulled her in so their bodies pressed harder against each other. She could feel how firm his body was and the butterflies fluttered even faster when she realized that she could feel… all of him.
"I'm not a gentleman all the time." He said huskily.
That being said, he kissed her.
The soft, sensual feel of his lips against hers made her whole body tingle. She should have pushed him away, should have told him to stop. But instead, she took a fist full of his t-shirt and moved with him.
Moonlyte had never been kissed before but from the way her body lost control, she could tell KangTa was more than just experienced. He tilted her head back and Moonlyte's eyes widened.
Was that his tongue... In her mouth?!
She turned to catch her breath but KangTa's lips followed, refusing to let her go. Moonlyte was breathless. She tried again but KangTa caught her chin and forced her lips back to his. He dominated her, releasing every ounce of passion he had for her and Moonlyte drowned in it.
Just before she could lose herself entirely, KangTa finally released her lips and whispered in her ear, "I can give you everything you want and more."
Dazed, Moonlyte used the wall for support when KangTa let her go. She felt too weak to move.
"Think about it." KangTa said before he left her to catch her breath and walked inside.
Just like that, he was gone. Moonlyte took a few deep breaths and held them in to calm her nerves. She would have never expected something like that from KangTa, who she new knew to be completely apathetic. She touched her swollen lips where the taste of him still lingered. There was no denying that the passion was real; he couldn't have kissed her like that if he didn't feel anything for her.
When her breathing calmed, she began to walk the opposite direction of Moonlight Castle. A small smile remained on her lips the entire way home.
-------
For the rest of the weekend, Moonlyte stayed home doing chores with the maid. It seemed that she was back to her daily routines and no longer lived in the fantasy world of Moonlight Castle. Soon enough her father, "Lord" as she liked to call him, would return from his business trip. Lordess will return the same day as well. Inevitably, the fights will resume.
She was beginning to grow tired of her life. After receiving a taste of social company over the weekend, her life suddenly seemed lonely. Maybe she needed to rethink her ideas of friendship.
For as long as she remembered, her diary was the only companion she needed to pour all her secrets out to. Now that it's missing, she felt like she had no one to help her vent or remember the old times when her parents were happy together. Either way, a change in her life needed to occur soon otherwise she'd break down.
Out of habit, she poked the bridge of her nose with her index finger in an attempt to push up her glasses. She'd forgotten to put them on again.
Just then, an idea struck her. She went to the mirror and examined her mask free face with a grin.
Change starts now.
-------
On Monday morning, the talk of the school revolved around KangTa's party. Students who were lucky enough to get invited gossiped about the fight.
"I heard it was over some girl."
"…just his number twelve."
"…pulled out a knife!"
"What will happen…"
Andy and DongWan, the two youngest, sat in their first period (a study period) with MinWoo.
"Hey Boss, you think Moonlyte will show up today?" Andy asked.
MinWoo was too busy reading his book to answer. It had been two days since they have seen Moonlyte and no one questioned MinWoo about it. Ever since the fight, he'd been engulfed in reading the same red notebook he'd had for the past two weeks.
DongWan reached over his table and grabbed the notebook. "What is this?"
Just as quickly, MinWoo snatched it back. "Do that again and I'll hit you."
"Eesh! You've been so moody ever since the weekend." DongWan feigned hurt.
It was true. After the boys took MinWoo to one of his smaller houses that night, they watched as he raised hell, flipping tables and demolishing everything in his path. MinWoo looked like he could kill someone that night. They were so used to his explosive temper that they were smart enough not to bring him to his main house where his parents were. DongWan and Andy watched him destroy the mansion and wondered what the hell KangTa was thinking when he decided to punch MinWoo, of all damn people. That was like signing your own death certificate. However, in the morning the two found MinWoo lying on a torn up couch reading that mysterious red notebook, calm. It was as if nothing happened that night.
"Maybe the notebook has calming powers." Andy shrugged.
Just then, the classroom door opened and all eyes turned to the girl walking in.
"God damn…"
"Holy hell..."
DongWan and Andy said at the same time.
But it was Minwoo who was awestruck the most when Moonlyte walked in. She wore the Kyang Min High School uniform… And it fit perfectly, hugging her curves. Her legs were bare. Her wavy brown hair was braid-free and brushed against her waist. Her face no longer hid behind glasses, unveiling the beauty that MinWoo saw when she first ran into him. She looked mind-blowing.
MinWoo's mouth opened but no words came out.
Moonlyte caught a glimpse of him from the corner of her eye while she walked to her seat but ignored him. Right when she sat down, someone tapped her shoulder. Jina and JunJin greeted her.
"Are you Moonjin today?" Jina asked from behind her.
She shook her head, no. "Moonjin doesn't exist anymore and neither does the Locker Girl. I'm just Moonlyte. Park Moonlyte." She smiled. It felt great for her to finally say it.
JunJin pouted, "Aw, that's too bad. I kind of have a crush on the Locker Girl."
The three laughed. From the corner of her eye, Moonlyte caught MinWoo watching them. She wondered why Jina and JinJin were separated from their group and realized that they, along with everyone in their "family", had already chosen sides.
A twinge of guilt hit Moonlyte. She needed to fix this somehow.
Suddenly, she caught MinWoo smirk. It was as if he knew she was watching him. The message in his eyes was clear:
You can't avoid me forever.
-------
Moonlyte's concentration in school that day wasn't the best. When she tried focusing in class, she'd turn around to find people looking at her. Guys would wink and girls would glare in jealousy. She wasn't used to so much attention.
This is the complete opposite of how she'd been living her life. In fact, this is exactly why she hid behind her costume all these years; the rich are selfish at heart and naturally do whatever their testosterone/estrogen tells them to do. She wanted nothing to do with that.
"So why did you decide to dress normal today? You're breaking a lot of hearts, you know." Jina said at lunch.
"I don't really care." Moonlyte shrugged.
"Wow, I guess you also changed your attitude when you decided to change the way you dressed."
Moonlyte smiled apologetically, "Sorry."
Jina laughed, "It's okay. So… this is the real you, huh?"
"Yes, the real me who isn't hiding behind the Locker Girl anymore."
"At least you don't st-st-stutter anymore." Jina grinned, "I like this version of you better… As do MinWoo and KangTa."
Moonlyte scoffed, "I didn't do this for them. This is me finally deciding to take control of my life without the influence of anyone else. I'm tired of people thinking they can do anything they want with me."
"We can get a little controlling sometimes…"
"No, I wasn't referring to you! Sorry, I didn't—"
"It's okay." Jina cut her off, "I know how it is. Money makes the world go round, Moonlyte. And with a mentality like that, people with money feel invincible."
Moonlyte found herself admiring the girl in front of her, "You're one of the good ones."
"So is KangTa."
Moonlyte turned away when she felt her face get hot. She hadn't seen KangTa all day. In fact, she hasn't seen him ever since he... he kissed her. Her face turned redder from replaying the memory in her head.
"So something happened between you two!" Jina exclaimed when she noticed Moonlyte's reaction.
"N-No!"
"Good." Jina winked, ignoring her, "A lady never kiss and tells. But think of me as your older sister, Moonlyte; you can tell me anything."
After a pause, Moonlyte mumbled. "I'll tell you about it later…"
Jina smiled victoriously.
-------
MinWoo sat in his Chemistry class reading a book when Moonlyte walked in.
"Jesus Christ…" He muttered under his breath when she walked by, ignoring him yet again. He was suffering. The way Moonlyte's little black skirt brushed against her thighs made him want to ravish her on the spot in front of all their classmates. The things he'd do to her…
MinWoo shook his head trying to clear his thoughts. If he kept this up, he wouldn't be able to control himself. He deserved a reward for his behavior today. Hell, with the way Moonlyte looked, he deserved something for being able to restrain himself and not jumping her the minute he saw her wearing the small uniform.
He intended to speak to her that day to see if she'd made a decision between him and KangTa (he scoffed at the thought of that scoundrel being any sort of competition for him, the Lee MinWoo) but when she walked into class dressed up as some erotic fantasy girl, he tried his hardest to keep his distance in fear that he just might let his wicked side get the best of him.
He shut the book, no longer focused enough to read. Damn that girl for being so enticing. He watched her now as she just sat there looking over some papers, probably checking her answers. She was like a lustful nerd in the middle of role playing. He imagined her throwing the papers in the air then getting on her hands and knees to crawl toward his lap…
He shook his head again. "Good lord…" He muttered under his breath. But he let the fantasy continue.
A few rows from him, Moonlyte tried her hardest to ignore MinWoo. She didn't want him to think that her new apparel was an invitation for him to speak to her again. After all, she was still furious with him for branding her as his number twelve.
Her grip on the papers tightened unconsciously. Damn that bastard for humiliating her! Girls have been whispering about her all day while guys would look at her, never approaching her in fear that Lee MinWoo would find out. It was as if he'd already claimed her. Even Cindy Chen, the "mean girl", had left her alone, only glaring from afar.
Before her anger could rise, she felt a presence pulling her attention to the door. Just then, the pre-lecture chatter in the classroom instantly died down once the door swung open.
KangTa walked in.
An almost deafening noiselessness filled the room. Everyone, including the teacher (who had just heard about the fight in the teachers' lounge), could feel the tension when MinWoo sat up and glanced at him. He looked like a panther whose territory was just invaded.
KangTa slowly walked in, ignoring everyone's eyes. He seemed his usual self; cool, calm, and composed.
Moonlyte felt the hair on the back of her neck rise when his eyes shifted to her. His solid, dark eyes locked onto hers and there she saw it. KangTa was not cool, calm, or composed… No. He looked tense, hostile, and dangerous. His lips were pressed in a straight line, his body alert as if preparing to fight.
The atmosphere in the room was unnerving. The two alpha males radiated energy that had everyone holding their breath to see who would make the first move. Moonlyte felt like she was suffocating under all the tension.
"Alright then…" The teacher broke the silence once KangTa sat in the far side of the room, opposite to MinWoo. He loosened his tie from the anxiety and wiped sweat from his forehead, "Class, it's time to turn in your labs… So… if you could please…" He trailed off, noticing that no one paid him any attention.
The distress in Moonlyte's face was evident. She was now seated an equal distance between the two extremely agitated rivals and prayed they wouldn't do anything drastic in front of the class. She looked behind her to the right where MinWoo was seated and found him still staring at her, a darker gleam in his eyes now that KangTa was present. She quickly turned away and looked to her left where KangTa's back faced her. He sat staring out the window. However Moonlyte noticed the way his shoulders were stiffened.
She had to fix this.
-------
"Are you sure it's okay letting them go to class?" Jina asked anxiously for the hundredth time.
DongWan leaned back on the grassy hill they sat on and looked at the clouds, "They've been fine so far with the rest of their classes. I think they'll be alright."
Jina, DongWan, Andy, HyeSung, and JunJin all sat at the school's garden; one of their usual places to hang around when ditching class.
"Besides," Andy added, "They may hate each other but they're still friends."
They all nodded in agreement. Though the group was divided, at the end of the day, they were all still old friends who grew up together. Nothing could ever come between that.
"Shit."
Everyone turned to HyeSung who was looking through Park Moonlyte's school records.
"What's the matter, bro?"
HyeSung held up her class schedule, "Moonlyte's in class with them."
JunJin laughed, "Poor girl."
-------
Moonlyte suddenly stood from her seat. She couldn't take it anymore!
"Here's my lab!" she marched to the front and handed it in to the teacher. All eyes were on her now, but she didn't care. She'd do anything to break the tension in the room. "And here are KangTa's and MinWoo's labs," She said, handing in the work that she obviously did.
KangTa and MinWoo looked up in surprise. Did she really feel the need to do the work for them? An amused expression filled both of their faces simultaneously. Neither of them planned on doing the work— they didn't have to. But they found it funny that the girl they both wanted could be so… delightfully entertaining.
At that moment they looked at each other, all feelings of anger subsiding. It was as if they could feel what the other was thinking. MinWoo grinned. KangTa acknowledged it with a nod. This is the kind of friendship they shared; one that has lasted a decade of camaraderie.
"I'm not feeling well. Can I please go to the nurse's office?" Moonlyte's voice stole their attention.
The teacher handed her a hall pass but it slipped from her fingers.
"I'll get it." Moonlyte bent over.
At that instant, every male in the room leaned forward with their mouths open. She had gotten on her hands and knees when the pass slipped under a table, then she stretched out trying to reach it; revealing enough skin to drive every single one of them mad.
MinWoo's grip on the book he held only increased the more Moonlyte moved. His eyes followed her as she left and, without a word, he got up and walked out of the class following after her.
KangTa watched after his friend then leaned back in his chair. If Moonlyte wanted to break the tension in the room, then her little show just now definitely did it. He folded his arms behind his head and closed his eyes, remembering just how much of Moonlyte he saw.
From the back of the room, Cindy Chen glowered in pure jealousy.
-------
Free at last.
Moonlyte thanked the heavens for finally getting out of that room. If she stayed any longer, who knew what would have happened. Now she giddily walked in the empty hallways toward the nurse's office.
But she wasn't alone for long. A few seconds later she heard MinWoo's footsteps following behind her.
'Give me a break!' she thought. She was too tired to have to face him now.
"Moonlyte," MinWoo called.
"Go away." She said, quickening her pace.
MinWoo walked faster, "We need to talk."
"No." She was close to running now.
"Damn it, woman, will you slow down?"
"I have nothing to say to you."
MinWoo almost missed a step when she said this. What the hell did he do? The last he remembered, they had a good time together in her own home. She even seemed to enjoy being pampered at Jaime Ann's. What could possibly be going through that mind of hers?
"Moonlyte, stop."
She stopped dead in her tracks. MinWoo's voice was low, alarmingly commanding. She had almost forgotten this side of him.
"Okay," she said once she turned around. MinWoo was still a few feet away from catching up to her so she used this as an opportunity to speak first. "I'm not going to be toyed with, Lee MinWoo. I'm not just another girl you can use as a Number Twelve and I'm sure as hell not going to let you—"
Moonlyte never finished because at that moment, MinWoo's mouth was over hers.
This time he didn't hesitate. This is what he wanted to do in the very beginning, what he should have done. He wanted to taste her, to run his hands all over her body, to lay her down and just take her. He couldn't resist anymore, didn't want to wait. Seeing her in the class made him lose all control and he was glad that Moonlyte left the room because he would have jumped her there in front of everyone if she didn't.
He took advantage of her small size and roughly pushed her against the locker.
Moonlyte gasped but didn't fight it. This is the side that only MinWoo's previous lovers have seen— the side that gave him his reputation with women— and now Moonlyte understood why girls fell in love with him. He was rough against her lips, biting her then caressing with his tongue. All the while his hands roamed in places she's never been touched before. She was burning for him.
Moonlyte turned her head to breathe but MinWoo continued kissing her, trailing down to her neck. She moaned, triggering MinWoo to bite her. When she winced, he caressed the mark with his lips. He couldn't stop himself.
Suddenly, someone cleared their throat.
When Moonlyte came back to her senses, she found her wrists pinned against the locker above her head and MinWoo on top of her breathing heavily.
"Bastard…" She heard him say.
Moonlyte looked over MinWoo's arm.
KangTa stood there watching them.
"Damn," It was her turn to swear now. She wasn't sure if it was because KangTa caught them or because she was stopped in the middle of their heated moment, but she pulled away from MinWoo.
He didn't let her go. Instead, he trailed his hand onto hers and interlaced their fingers, holding tightly to her hand when she tried to pull away. He turned to their guest.
"Enjoy the show?" MinWoo's voice was low, mocking.
KangTa only remained silent as he walked toward them. His eyes were cold, his body tense. He took his time like a bloodthirsty wolf stalking its prey.
"Moonlyte," he said once he reached her. His voice was surprisingly gentle, "Please leave."
Moonlyte nodded. But before she turned away, KangTa took her face into his hands and kissed her forehead.
It was a briefly soft kiss, but Moonlyte jerked her hand away when MinWoo's grip on it tightened.
She stepped back and stared at the two in disbelief. KangTa grinned almost menacingly. MinWoo looked back at her with accusing eyes.
Everything about them right now screamed DANGER.
She backed up, clutching her now throbbing hand to her chest. With one last look at them both, she turned on her heels and walked, no… ran away. Moonlyte didn't know what she was getting herself into.
"I didn't think you had it in you." MinWoo spoke.
KangTa turned to him, "She deserves to see the side of you that can hurt."
MinWoo leaned back against the lockers and grinned, "Touché."
"I actually came to talk to you."
"Then talk."
KangTa leaned next to him, preparing to enjoy his friend's reaction.
"Jade's back."
Author's Notes/Comments: 8/25/10
Nothing else to say but FINALLY! Ugh, I hate myself for taking so long with every chapter and making you guys wait. But, I've come up with new storylines for each of my characters and I hope you guys will love it! I was actually thinking about just deleting the story completely-- I'm just not satisfied with what I've done so far. But I couldn't do that to all the people who have reviewed and stuck around for so long. So I re-edited the chapters until I was satisfied and now I'll be updating more often.
Any thoughts, comments, or criticism? Please let me know. I'd love to hear from you guys.
A big thanks to:

somewhativy: Yes, the characters are Korean. Haha.
Koki Enwai: Yes, it's somewhat of a fanfiction. But, if you read my profile, you'll see that I just used their names. I never intended to use the same characteristics that the actual Lee MinWoo and KangTa have in my story. The only thing I can say is to use your imagination based off the description in the fic rather than think that of the real people.
folsom: My original plan was to have MinWoo punch KangTa since it's so typical of him to be violent, but I feel like this way made the drama that much better. I'm glad that you see the way KangTa's so possessive. More about that will come later...
achiGurl: LOL! Oh gosh, I didn't know you guys were classmates. I promise to update more often!
akaCHEEKS: I was so surprised that you said Moonlyte should be with KangTa. I originally planned for Moonlyte to be attracted to just one characters... but once I saw your comment, I decided to change everything. -grins- Thank YOU!
.xalthea.96: I am so glad you remembered that Moonlyte's living in the upper class as well. More about that will come up soon. And you know what? You made me realize how slow the story was progressing... So I changed a few minor things.
Roxanne Rose: Actually, someone has commented on that before. I never read or watched Boys Over Flowers until after someone compared my story to it. I was inspired by multiple fics that I read in the past and, after I read the manga, decided to try and stray away from that. I do see the similarities but I'm trying so hard not to have my fic compared to it. -frowns-
