Softness caressing me

On my bed of broken stained-glass

Clenching toes

Warm, light blanket falls over my knees

It draws back, taking my worries with it

I open my eyes

Innocent blue painted the sky,

Passion blue painted the ground

My eyes painted with affection

This place, it moves me,

Takes me away from the world,

Bleaches my mind of badness

And stains my soul with purity

My paleness gone, turned a bright pink

My dark hair no more, replaced with sun-bleached gold

I throw a stone into the abyss

It skips, leaving small tapestries on the water

I smile, admiring nature's artistry

Perhaps I wasn't looking at it the right way

Perhaps this little island is okay

But just for today.
