Fluttering snow falls gently

Amidst the cool of winter air,

Like a dream slumbering quietly

Upon a peaceful white so fair.

A sweet silent veil over the land

Beneath a shower of light so cold,

Catching delicate promises in my hand

Grasped with an unfaltering hold.

Echoing with unspoken words

Past the shivering skies,

A prayer longing to be heard

Above winters resounding sigh.

One last fantasy, hoping

Someday will appear,

One more chance, lingering

Are wishes without tears.
