A Graceful Flower

Petals sparkling,

Stem streaming,

Leaves bouncing.

A graceful flower,

Watches the world spin by,

Watches the girl the next door.

So alone,

So unreachable,

But yet feels close.

The poor girl,

Always getting beaten up,

Bullies around every corner,

Waiting,

Watching,

For her to slip,

Say something stupid,

Do something stupid.

Hiding behind a mask,

She hates herself,

Always weeping,

Then it went too far.

The graceful flower saw it all,

Blood streaming,

Mouth screaming,

Screaming things,

She wouldn't have dared said.

They pretended they were sorry,

Entered the place weeping,

Sending each other smiles.

She was missed,

By mother,

Father,

Friends,

People she didn't know she had,

People weeping,

Asking,

Why couldn't we do something?

Why didn't we do something?

A graceful flower,

Watched,

Weeping.

A graceful flower,

Watches the boy next door.
