My
body falls to the floor
When the music stops
And that's what
I hear when the quiet sets in
Words spelled out in conundrums,
riddles, impossibilities
Thoughts clash like waves crashing on
the rocky shore
Of an ocean that holds no water
And all the
faces around me move their lips silently
Like scared fishes
watching as the sun is eclipsed
And wondering if it will ever
emerge again from the darkness that washed over
But the faces are
gone when the sun emerges from its coma
In all its blinding glory
And suddenly it all become frighteningly clear
As though
everything I had ever known and ever was to know
Every thought,
feeling, and prayer,
Was gathered there in that one point of
light
And everything made perfect sense
All the years of
questions and circular reasoning,
There is a god because the
Bible says so, the Bible is valid because it was sent from god,
They
all pointed to this
And just as I was about to end the cacophony
of noise in my head to spread the word
The silence was shattered
Like so many wine glasses clattering to the floor
In a
crowded hall that leads to nowhere and everywhere
And takes you
in circles and back to where it all began
For me
Right here
at the end
