Practicality and the Fear of Flying

You were always practical.

When you ripped the wings

From your back,

You said you weren't falling

So they served no purpose.

It took all these years

To shed some light

On the fact that you

Have a fear of flying.

To scared of getting lost

Above the clouds,

Of flying in air

And not wanting to come down.

And I'll forgive you for that

As wrong as it has been.

Because the misery

Must be punishment enough.
