From the Depths

Singing where the death bells ring,

singing in the rain,

singing in that dark place,

where no one knows my name.

Dancing where the shadows roam,

dancing in the tide,

dancing in that deep valley,

where I was left to die.

Crying where the sun stops,

crying in the fear,

crying in that six foot hole,

where the end is near.

Screaming where the walls close in,

screaming in the pain,

screaming in that pierced voice,

where there's nothing left to gain.

Dying where I stopped listening,

Dying in what you said,

Dying because if I had listened,

I wouldn't now be dead.
