"Would you believe me if I said I didn't need you"-Skeptics and True Believers by: The Academy Is.

Two months. It's been two months since Andrew and I's first kiss. And let me tell you, letting your wall down and letting someone in is the hardest thing I ever had to do. But it was the most worthwhile. I tried to break up with him about...say...fifty times. But he never let me. Tonight is our two month anniversary and we decided to go to the aquarium, which was now known as "our place".

"Excuse me, miss? Would you perhaps want to go on a date with a lovely gentlemen tonight.." Andrew said from behind me.

I smiled and opened my locker, "Oh, I would love to. Where is he?"

He smiled and shook his head.

"I'm sorry but I thought I was going with a gentlemen..not..you."

He laughed and tickled me, "I'll see you at eight..."

"Unless he," I pointed to a very gorgeous guy that walked by and winked at me, "decides he is free tonight..."

"You're funny.." Andrew said, sarcastically. My sarcasm kind of rubbed off on him.

"Oh, my dear, it's cute how you think I'm kidding."

He laughed and shook his head, "You're cute. I'll see you at eight." He kissed me and left.

"Beautiful.." Andrew said when he picked me up for our date.

I smiled.

"Mississippi."

"Colorado"

"Texas"

"California."

"Delaware. I win again. You really suck at this game..." I told him. We always played this in the car to help pass the time.

"Well, you just...are a girl and it's a duty as a guy to let the girl win.."

"That was the biggest load of bullshit I've heard in my life. You, like every other guy in the world, need to find excuses to convince yourself that you are still better. Wouldn't dare hurt that pride..."

He pulled into the parking space, "You know, I had a lot more pride before I met you..."

"Mission accomplished."

He rolled his eyes, grabbed my hand and we walked inside.

We ate and talked. But I was too fascinated with the fish to talk much.

"Why are you so interested in the fish? They are just fish." he commented.

"Why must guys always know everything when it comes to women," I said, not taking my eyes off the passing shark.

He just sighed, "You're impossible.."

"If I was so impossible....you wouldn't have convinced me to stay with you fifty times in the past two months.."

There was a silence until Andrew abruptly broke it, "Do you trust me?"

"What?"

"Do you trust me?"

I don't like this question.

"Ok, Aladdin."

"I'm being serious here..."

"See. I was right. You have to know everything.."

"Fall, you're avoiding the question."

Duh

My eyes landed on my lap, "Yes."

No. Yes. No. Yes. Damnit.

"What's your first name?"

"I..I...have to go.." I said, getting up. When he asked me that, I felt like a brick wall with the word COMMITMENT on it just hit me in the face. I ran outside. And, of course, it was raining.

"Fall! Fall! Stop.."

I didn't but he was faster and stopped me.

"Why does it scare you so much to let me know your real first name?"

I couldn't meet his eyes, "You ask too many questions.."

He lifted my chin with his fingers, "Stop shutting me out. You have no reason to be scared..."

I brushed his hand away, "You have no idea..."

"Then, tell me."

I looked up at him. How could I trust him that much? The only person outside my family who knew my first name was Rachael. But she was my best friend. He didn't understand how big of a deal this was for me. The rain poured down harder and we were both soaked.

He took a step towards me, leaned down and kissed me.

"Fall, the first day I saw you...I knew fate brought us together. Don't you understand? We were meant to be together. You wouldn't be here if we weren't. You can't keep shutting me out. You need to learn to trust me. So either tell me or walk away. But if you walk away, you can't come back and I know that's not how it's supposed to be.."

I stepped back and took a deep breath. The world was spinning and I had no idea what to do. I was only sure of one thing.

I took another breath and for the first time, the truth came out. "Christina."

TheEnd.
