The Dreamers' Epitaph

In endless expanse the calm ocean fills the panorama.
Above, the gray expanse beckons.
The Eyes of The Night; dull and empty, miss their cue.
Among the eyes the Masked Falcon struggles, weaving blindly around the dim globes.
Below, through the murky liquid roars the Dragon.
Chained to the hourglass; the Dragon fights.
With fierce power and a clink of silver, the beast breaks its bindings.
The Falcon, realizing its danger, cries to the globes who merely regard the Falcon with a faint glimmer.
The fiery Dragon breaths a flame, burning the Mask of the Falcon.
The Eyes of The Night glow brighter in unison with the winged one's eyes.
With sharp talons, the feathered creature fights the scaled beast.
Above the water they carry, among the orbs of flickering light.
With a slash of the talons, the bird is victorious.
The Dragon falls heavily to the ocean, splashing, rumbling, sinking beneath the now waving ocean.
A feather, lost during the struggle floats softly on to the aquamarine liquid.
Glowing, it begins a metamorphosis; Egg, Larva, Pupa, Butterfly.
Gold and purple, the wings beat.
The Butterfly moves higher to greet the Falcon; together they fly away among the bright eyes in the sky.
From the Butterfly's eggs, the Dreamers hatch to meet the rising sun.
