My Kind

When the world should start a new beginning

and I live through the nightmares I've seen in my dreams

When all is dark and then my head starts spinning

I'll go to my knees just to try and stop the screams

But when the age of this new time should come

And I must stand alone

My head will be held high, no matter that my heart is numb

I'll be standing still, after all, this is what my dreams have shone

It's a lonely life for my kind

We dwell in walls that spread up high

In the night when you are blind

No-one can hear your cry

I've seen it once and a thousand times

These dreams which make me think

And though I'm guilty of all my crimes

When the sun shows in to shadows I'll sink

You may hunt and seek and look

Long in to your days

But here's my life's little hook

I'll set your mind ablaze

You will not find me in the day I'll hide myself so well

Though step in to my hiding place and your heart with fill with gloom

As then you become my prey and you'll look upon Hell

No-one nor where to look as I lock you in your tomb

My dreams are filled with many things that curse my heart

But it's true my kind will soon brake free

Then from my tomb I'll part

To watch those whom don't understand flee

It's a lonely life for my kind

We dwell in walls that spread up high

In the night when you are blind

No-one can hear your cry

I've seen it once and a thousand times

These dreams which make me think

And though I'm guilty of all my crimes

When the sun shows in to shadows I'll sink
