Dreamin' Away

Dreamin' away of

a warm sunny day

when butterflies will fly

and children will play.

Skies would no longer

be stained crimson with blood,

Streets would no longer

be littered with crud.

Grass would grow,

and plants would bloom,

and the bride could happily

marry her groom.

The poor would be paid

and the starved would be fed

then, every day, there

wouldn't be so many dead

But a day like that

is far, far away

So I'll just stay dreamin',

dreamin' away.
