In the 9th Cycle of the 57th Year of the Class Wars, Master Reginald Gerald Boswald, Scribe to the Mages of the East, chanced upon a strange artifact hidden beneath the rubble of a long forgotten prison – an artifact which the Nobles of all kingdoms deemed too dangerous to be let known to the public.
The Diary of a Dark Lord.
Fearing what the public might learn from such writings, it was agreed upon that the book must be burned. The very next day, all the Nobles gathered once more to witness the burning of the diary. Together, they watched the black smoke rise from the leather-bound journal and the flames engulf the delicate pages. Once the book was reduced to ashes, they vowed never to speak of this again.
However, anticipating this unfair judgment, Master Reginald Gerald Boswald had stayed up the previous night, copying the entries which he deemed most important – those which contained the deepest, darkest, most terrible secrets of the Dark owner of the diary.
Those which contained his humanity.
