A/N: Alrighty...I s'pose it's safe to say that I'm back after a especially long break from answering questions...I was answering some of my own questions over here, such as "Why the hell am I hot pink?" I came to the conclusion that it was because I fell asleep while finger-painting...again...heh...ANYWAY, time to answer a question. There's probably an actual answer to how the word asphyxiation came about, but this is why I think asphyxiation is so hard to spell.
Why is asphyxiation so hard to spell?
Well, this is an interesting story...it starts out with Bob, the first ever asphyxiophiliac (although they didn't have a name at that time), meeting a sadist known only as Candy. Candy, who loved bringing pain to people just a little too much, went along with Bob's wishes and engaged in scarfing (which also did not have a name at the time). During one very heated night, Candy became curious as to what they'd tell someone if said person asked them what they were doing. Bob, who is still woozy after lack of oxygen to his brain for so long, wasn't able to speak coherently enough to give her an answer. He stumbled over to get a piece of paper and scribbled down a bunch of letters that happened to end up in the order "a-s-p-h-y-x-i-a-t-i-o-n". Candy, who didn't much care what the answer was and only wanted an answer, shrugged her shoulders and went on to whip Bob.
That is why asphyxiation is so hard to spell…would you be able to think straight after having someone strangle you almost to the point of death…I didn't think so. Sorry it was so short this time. I'm just getting back into the swing of things and hopefully I'll have time to do another one soon. G'bye y'all.
