Paper-pusher girl to the rescue!

Having always been a fan a tedious, brainless work,

I gladly accepted the 6.50 an hour.

I am the best

The fastest

The happiest paper-pusher around.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But did I ever tell you that someday I'd like to be

a doctor?

And not just a doctor, fixing your sore throat.

No, no, no…

I want to be a surgen.

I want to reach into your gut and feel your stomach

Churn.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Or maybe I'd like to be

a teacher?

I could be the best teacher in the world

Grading the work of straight A students

Straight haired girls and boys

With straight clothes

Looking me straight in the eye...unflinching and unlearning.

(But still straight A)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I was little I wanted to be

a mommy.

I suppose I still do

But a child would get in the way

Of my paper pushing/doctoring/teaching career.

I could do both I suppose.

But I don't want to leave my child

For paper and blood and

other mommy's children.

a/n: Not brilliant or moving, I know, but I seem to have lost my muse. Sad. I like the last line though…
