A Dark Sad Day:

Blue skies hang high above,

In the past the world was new,

But soon a day would arrive,

Turning many a face askew.

Born into the world,

Innocence did abound,

Being friendly and good,

While no bad could be found.

Emotions were crushed,

Dreams were dashed,

Cynicism would develop,

And innocence would crash.

So darkness entered the world,

Always hiding and concealing,

Trying to stay inconspicuous,

And nothing of itself revealing.

Clouds gather and lightning flashes,

The world bows its head and mourns,

A blight had entered the world that day,

This dark day is the day I was born.

Cheers
