That's All It Takes

She always tried to laugh,

Always forced a smile,

Sadness traced in her veins,

Sinking in, worth your while…

Nothing ever went right at all,

Her friends were nothing but fakes,

She tried ignoring their cruelty,

But sometimes that's all it takes,

She had no real friends there,

At least none that were true,

And it made her cry, thinking,

She had no one to hold onto…

Darkness creeping in,

No one realized she cried,

Death wishes flooding her mind,

Silently screaming inside,

Her body temperature dropping,

Her pale eyes, fading into gray,

Allowing death's kiss,

To finally take her away…
