My Life As A Fish Tank

In my life,
I've had too much love,
And not enough lovers,
It's all just a fish tank,
Filling to the top with flowers,
It's almost full now,
The petals are starting to peak,
But the ones at the bottom are going bad,
And the illness is starting to creep,

Too much love,
Is in my head,
With nowhere to go,
My brain's getting slower, now.

In my life,
I've had too much life,
But not enough living,
All the fun of false forgiving,
Jump over the world once again,
But you're back where you started,
Easy, drunk, and broken-hearted,
The bottle is slippery, my will is weak,
And now the illness is starting to creep,

Too much time,
Rushing through my soul,
With nowhere to go,
My brain is getting slower, now.

And it's all just a fish tank,
Filling to the top with flowers,
It's almost full now,
The petals are starting to peak,
But the ones at the bottom are going bad,
And the illness is starting to creep,

Your life has peaked,
And now you're sick,
It won't be long until you're dead,
The illness has started to creep.
