Uncircumstancial Abundance

And these mindless worlds
and dissatisfying satisfactions
and petty things in which
we place so much value
this fruitless life
of worthless moments
can You shake them at the core?

These castles and walls
and fortresses built of
rotting wood
of thoughtless thought
can You break them down
and make them nothing more?

Can You tear to pieces
this complacency
that has become so

And for me,
can you take my strengthless chains
and snap them in half
until freedom radiates
from me?

Can You create abundance
and set fire
to damp hearts
and breath life
into dry bones
because the emptiness
is killing me.
