Be Careful What You Wish For


That was the first thing that registered on the solitary girls guarded senses. The utter silence.

Except for the light breeze whispering through the trees and the quiet rustle of her clothing as she walked. Suddenly, it struck her as she moved slowly down the street of the quaint little town.

It was deserted.

No people roamed the streets, came in or went out of the many buildings. No cars moved, nor was there the distant sound of any.
