She is no more---

And I can't stand to see her face
All the pain she's been through
She reached for death too soon

And I can't see her in this life
Hold the knife that cut her
And kissed her with a curse

Pity for the lost Lenore
Raven's cry, "She is no more."

I can't sleep this December
Remembering her tears
She's held within my fears

And I have sealed the chamber shut
All the tears that were shed
Her eyes cried while she bled

Each separate dying ember
Wish I would not remember
Deep into the darkness, dreaming
Here she stands; wond'ring, screaming

"For the rare and radiant maiden
Whom the angels named Lenore."
