The rain starts to fall,
The lightning flashes.
Eerie, as I stare into the night sky.

The rain hits my face,
The droplet travels down my cheek.
It tastes salty as my tongue takes it in.

Bitter. As the cold outside,
It freezes, like an icicle.
Yet melts with the sun.
Caught between two places,
Only desiring to be in one.

Trapped in a whirlwind,
Longing for escape.
Looking out the window,
At a place I hate¡

Needing to know,
That there will always be faith,
To evade the turbulent storm,
Which I create.
