Origami Gloom

Beauty breeds within the range of her unblemished atmosphere,

Whilst waves of light churn and relish on her beach.

Yet I can't help but agonize in this mood; so austere,

As she is the object of my desire, inches away from reach.

Will the seas not part for us? So you and I may seam

And dance the dance of a thousand goodbyes.

Alas, my tears awaken me from this insatiable dream, yet

I can't help but fantasize of the iris of your eyes.

She sleeps when I weep, and her life cannot see

What misconceptions unfold behind her back;

My garish entity, drunk with glee, obscures

My origami reality, that's seen its last crack.

So Darling, sit before me and unsheathe your heart,

And slay me with the power of being apart.
