Getting started with my work,

As I listen to this dork.

Her babbling tires me,

As I stare at my minute drawn tree.

--------

My fellow students,

All of them talking.

I find it very prudent,

That I am who the teacher's stalking.

--------

Why should I listen,

To this old bat?

She's calling out the names now,

And again I say, "My name is Kat."

--------

How I long to leave this place,

How my mind drifts into space.

I didn't hear her call my name,

I was thinking of a frog and cane.

--------

On the fourth call,

It registers in my mind.

I had nearly blundered to a fall,

As her voice droned in kind.

--------

Why should I listen,

To this old bat?

She's calling out the names now,

And again I say, "My name is Kat."
