( Cold Blows The Wind )

Cold blows the wind over my one true love,

Cold blows the drops of the heavy rain,

I had one true love & on that night she was taken from me,

I'll do as much for my true love as any young man may,

I'll sit & weep down by her grave for twelve months & one day,

But when twelve months has come & gone I saw she had arose & asked

"What makes you weep down by my grave",

"I told her One Kiss from your lily white lips is all I crave then return back to your grave",

Your lips are as cold as the ice falling from up high in the sky,

My breath is heavy & strong,

If thou was to but give me a kiss thy days would not be so long,

I want you to remember the beautiful garden grove where we used to walk,

I would pluck the finest flower of them all for you,

Now I will go dig me a grave long, wide & deep as close to yours as I may,

I'll lie down in it & take one sleep to stay close to you my true love,

Cold blows the wind over my true love,

Cold blows the drops of the heavy rain,

I had but one true love & on that night I will lie down next to her,

I'll do as much for my true love as any young man may.

Not all of these words were mine I rewrote one of my favorite songs and made it the way it should have been.
