Letter To A Broken Child

I see the light is dimming, the fires burning out. But it's not your time to go yet, so come back to me now.
I know you're tired and weary, and it's too much to go on. But there's still so many things yet, that you haven't done. I know your feeling empty, and you feel like they have won. But I see the fight within you child, a spark that's just enough.
I know your feeling lonely, like no one's here to care. But know that I am here child, and your sorrow I can bear. I know sleep don't come easy, and you cry alone at night. So let me cry with you child, in the secret of moonlight. And when the moon descends the trees, and there's the stirring of the day. Wake wrapped in my arms child, and know that you are safe.
I know you feel it's not enough, and the pain is just too great. But know that it won't last child, and the feeling soon will fade. I know that you don't see it yet, and gray clouds shade your day. And this time that I speak of, seems oh so far away.
I see the light is dimming, the fires burning out. But it's not your time to go yet child, so come back to me now.
