The Rain Spells it in the Pavement
By Simply Shelby

The rain spells it in the pavement
As you hold me close to you
And falls around the pink umbrella
That you hold above us two

Two pairs of blue jeans soaked
Our shirts and hair are wet as well
We both know we'll catch cold
But it's not something on which we dwell

The rain spells it in the pavement
As our feet splash in the puddle
Pretty soon we'll go inside
And drink hot chocolate while we cuddle

But for now, we'll both hold hands
While we skip through pouring rain
Feel the drops run down our face
And wash away our absent pain

The rain spells it in the pavement
Three words I know are true
Three words of great importance:
I love you
