Inspired to the Murder Mystery and Drama 3.

The Play

spotlight hits the stage,
music gently rises,
actors take a one-last breath
and
the
show
starts...
a cacophony of colors blinds,
the feedback-mike blasts,
sweat stains visible; cringe
and
the
plot
builds...
nervous energy,
just-off pitch-notes,
ahead-behind choreography steps
and
the
act
ends...
intermission, intermission!
selling store-bought home-made baked goods,
spilled-soda-and-thrown-away-gum stuck
and
the
play
resumes...
warm-spot seat-chairs,
cell phone lights flicker on-off,
agitated whispers of the critic-playwrights
and
the
hours
pass...
dramatic climax nears,
the audience falls a-hush,
tear-jerk line-drops
and
the
tears
fall...
take a bow,
emotions high-strung,
allergy-congrats and flower-tissues
and
the
acting
stops...
face-slaps,
mangled-lines,
cast-cuts
and
the
fun
begins...
director commentary,
angry-mob mentalities,
good-bye show-biz
and
the
show
stops...
make-up friend-ships,
glare-hidden smiles,
there is no life-after
and
the
hearts
break...
good-bye for-ever,
never-agains uttered,
autographs misspelled
and
the
real
show
goes
on...
