beneath the turning blue there thrives a plain
of cherished flowers, unbelievable and slight
and glistening they shiver in the rain;
they're blushing incandescent in the night.
O Rose, thou art as heaven in thy bed
whom Venus envies to her sea-borne bones,
as Daisies giggle bounce as she flares red
with jealous rage, they sing in joyful tones.
Apollo in his cosmic chariot
flies flirting with her, Sunflower, so chaste.
His eyes like molten golden diamonds lit;
the Tulips shy within his Light embrace.
yet, all these gods and creatures pale beside
this endless petaled rainbow, stretching wide.
