A sigh can speak of so many things

Of stranded angels with broken wings.

Of a desperate yearning

The fire inside, burning.

So much emotion, contained in a sigh

The love between the first Hello and the last Goodbye

The hatred for those who do you wrong

The sadness of separation – forever is so long

Not from your mouth, issuing forth from your core,

Twisted tales of love, loss, hope, destruction of the soul and more.

A sigh to yourself, a sigh to the world

As everything you wanted, is ripped from so close and hurled

Far away. It's not returning now.

And everything you kept inside, you allow

To pour free, open the floodgates and let it out

With one final cry, a terrible shout

I sigh

(and die)
