All right, so this is a little story that a friend and I made up when we were extremely hyper and sugar-high. It's funnier if you know who the people actually represent and can imagine them doing what the characters do...but oh well. It's funny all the same. I hope you enjoy it and I'll try to post a real story soon. ;p

Annoyed, but slightly amused, the Lady Maiden Rose sat down on a nearby tree stump. In front of her were two knights. She knew both of them quite well. The knight to the left was Sir Ethan and the knight to the right was Sir Aaron. The two knights were best friends who didn't trust each other one bit. One of the reasons was sitting on a tree stump watching them with an exasperated expression. Lady Rose, or Nora, as her true name was (everyone thought Lady Rose sounded better and her home was mostly a garden of roses), didn't want to be a problem, but she couldn't help it.
The issue was a matter of love. Both Sir Ethan and Sir Aaron were in love with the Lady Maiden Rose. She had just had a relationship with Sir Aaron and had abruptly ended it. Now she desired somewhat of a relationship with Sir Ethan—no matter how awfully goofy the knight was. But either way, Rose did not want the two friends to kill each other (as they both were very well capable of). This time it was a jousting match.
"Sir Aaron!" Ethan had called upon coming across the other knight. Aaron had turned, giving his friend a blank look.
"I, Sir Ethan Woodward, challenge you, Sir Aaron Lewis, to a joust for the fair Lady Maiden Rose's hand in marriage!"
Not again, Rose had thought. Silently, Aaron had nodded his agreement.
Now the knights were ready, both in their specially made armor. Nora studied them with amusement. Ethan had, of course, tied the red handkerchief she had given him a few days before on his upper left arm, but that wasn't the worst of it. For some reason she could not figure out, both knights had feather plumes on the top of their helmets. Aaron's wasn't too bad, being light blue and not too fluffy, but Ethan's…. Nora suppressed laughter.
Sir Ethan had a pink plume.
All right, so it was white with a tint of pink in it. But it was still pink. And extremely fluffy.
Both knights mounted their horses, Sir Ethan's being white and Sir Aaron's being light brown. They both raised their visors and looked to Lady Rose. Aaron nodded solemnly, whilst Ethan grinned at her foolishly. Nora rolled her eyes, smiling.
The two knights looked back to each other, visors back down, and lances ready. Suddenly, they charged. The next thing the Lady Maiden Rose knew, Sir Ethan was flying backwards. After a moment, he landed. To make it worse (or better—depends on your opinion), the twiggy knight had landed in a mud puddle from the rain last night. Nora uttered a very un-ladylike snort. All the same, she rushed to the knight's side to see if he was all right, taking care not to dirty her dress.
"Ethan?" she asked. A moan came from within the helmet. Lady Rose helped Sir Ethan take it off, noticing with dismay, that the mud had ruined the pink plume. She would have to buy him a new one when she could.
Ethan looked into Nora's eyes pathetically.
"I lost, didn't I?" he asked miserably. Nora nodded.
"Now you must marry Sir Aaron," he added. Nora hesitated.
"Ethan, I don't love Aaron," she told him. A spark of hope glittered in the knight's eyes. "I love you," Nora whispered. His strength renewed, Sir Ethan jumped up, making the Lady Maiden Rose fall on her bottom. He drew his sword and pointed it at Sir Aaron who had dismounted.
"Draw your sword, ye unworthy knight!" Sir Ethan bellowed.
Despairingly, Nora rested her head in her hands.
Here we go again.
