I remember seeing a light
A holy radiance, burning bright
Upon my arrival to the tomb
A cadaver that would never be exhumed.
Staring at the broken ground
I saw the people all around
Tears on their faces, children close by
The moment arrived when they all could cry.
The body was placed beneath us all
And then the burial did call
To bury the dead that the people all knew
To take a soul to rest, so true.
When all had ended, and all was done
I stayed behind to see the one
That made them all cry and made them all sad
The person that I never had
The chance to know as a man, as a friend
For the dead must move on to their peaceful end.
