American Dream
It is the American Dream to spread freedom
To be free, both in body and in mind
To sing our anthem from the highest mountain
So they might hear it in the lowest valley
It is the American dream to seek oppressed peoples
And give them the gift of Democracy
So that they too can be free, and do as they please
Weather they like it or not
It is the American dream to celebrate diversity at home
And see to it that people in other lands
Can see how truly great and wonderful it is
To be an American
It is the American dream to help starving children in Africa
By guilt tripping our children into eating more and more
By spending millions to wrench people of eighty cents a day
And by eating a third Big Mac for the underprivileged
It is the American Dream to die fighting
Fighting for the right to make our voices heard
To vote for our next President
Or better yet, the next American Idol
It is the American Dream to praise God
So that he might bless America
And keep us free enough
To have a separation of Church and State
It is the American dream to have a new car
A new house, a swimming pool, a trophy wife
And then to buy a round of drinks for everyone in the bar
And say "Hey, put it on my tab"
It is the American Dream to pick up an M-16
Go into the deserts of places whose names we can't pronounce
And kill a couple of towel-headed Heebs
In the name of racial equality
It is the American dream to hit a night club
Smoke a pack a day, and drink 'till we drop
And say that drugs are destroying out youth.
Dear god, someone please wake us up
