Epilogue

"No! No! Stop!" We heard Natalie's yells from outside. I turned to my husband who was sitting right beside me in the car and we started laughing.

Here we are, ten years later, married for five years with two four year old kids. Yes, people we have twins. Two adorable, cute, angel-like little boys.

Yes, I eventually lost my virginity. It happened on my wedding night. All those talks about two years or six months were for nothing. The cretin was bent on making it perfect for me.

And I have to say... it really was.

He proposed in the Edwards' playroom on Thanksgiving day. I was in my senior year in NYU then. We were home for the holiday after missing it the year before. He had carefully arranged the candles and daffodils all over the room.

I knew what was happening the moment I stepped inside. So imagine my surprise when he gave a big box. It was a little bigger than that of a shoe box. I didn't know whether to laugh at my stupidity or bash his head for leading me on. But when I opened it, what I found inside made his intention crystal clear to me.

There was the pink walkie-talkie on top and the five black notebooks he had confiscated a few years back, always replacing the old with a new one. I remember him saying that he was ready for me to read it. His eyes looked so intense then.

Below the five diaries, at the bottom, was the little velvet box I was looking for. And it was everything I hoped it would be.

I sighed at the memory and looked at the rings I have on my finger now, a perfect engagement ring and a diamond studded gold wedding band. I saw his hand cover mine, a matching wedding band was on his finger as well. I looked up and gave him a smile.

We are celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary. He proclaimed the other day that he wanted me all to himself for an entire day today. We haven't had ample time together because of the kids and our careers. Hence, I had to call some people to babysit .Guess who?

It still cracks me up every time I see Natalie whine and Jhonny growl when we ask them to do it.

God really does love me.

We got out of the car, still chuckling and headed over to our place. We chose to go back to La Grange after graduation and pursued our careers here. We bought a two-story house with six bedrooms, just a few miles away from the place where we grew up.

As promised, I'm now helping dad out with the business. He's frequently taking out of town trips with mom, saying that it's time for their second honeymoon, leaving me to my own devices. The cretin is a doctor in one of the prestigious hospitals in La Grange. It really helped that he was there when I gave birth.

Yeah, I almost choked him to death. He had bruises on his neck to prove it.

We were nearing the front door, when we heard something crash an the unmistakable grumble coming from Natalie then a chuckle from Jhonny. "Stop that! No!" Then we heard her shrieks. My sister is given to dramatics lately.

I raised my brows to the cretin but he just grinned and dragged me to the side of the house to spy on them.

The sight that greeted us was an all too familiar sight, Natalie was on her back, on the floor, with the twins sitting on her and poking her on the side.

Jhonny on the other hand was cheering them on. "Tyler, on the side! Yes! That's it! Tyrone! Go sit on her legs and tickle her feet."

When the little guy had trouble taking the slippers off, Jhonny helped him out causing louder shrieks from Natalie. "Jhonny! Stop it!"

I chuckled softly at the frustrated tone. She was all tussled up and there were telling paint smudges on her cheek. We decided to help her out after a few minutes of suffering.

When we opened the door, my little guys immediately noticed and took off running towards my direction. "Mommy! Mommy!"

I crouched down and hugged my little angels to me. "How are my angels?" I asked, planting loud kisses on their cheeks.

I heard Natalie scoff as Jhonny helped her up from the floor. Then she smacked him on the head. I hid a grin behind Tyler's blonde head.

The cretin came in, carrying a basket still more than half-full from our excursion.

"Daddy!" Tyrone broke out then wiggled out of my embrace and ran towards the cretin who immediately dropped the basket to the floor and opening his arms for the little guy.

"Hey there fella." The cretin greeted ruffling Tyrone's hair.

Tyler wiggled out from my embrace to follow his brother.

Satisfied that my boys are safe, I turned to the two teenagers. Natalie was scowling at Jhonny and then elbowed him in his stomach.

He winced but recovered automatically as if her elbows weren't sharp then started smirking at her. I smiled because I knew that smirk so well.

"You did that on purpose." She hissed at him.

He gave her a grin then shrugged.

Natalie narrowed her eyes. I knew what she was going to do next so I intervened. "Hey you two, not in front of the kids."

Natalie huffed and crossed her arms over her chest. I must admit, with her looks, every single boy in her class is probably drooling at the sight of her.

"Just wait until we get out of here Edwards." I heard her grumble.

Jhonny raised his brows then asked, "Which one? There are five of us here you know."

I chuckled at his quip. That was good.

"There's only one I'd like to kill." Natalie gritted out glaring at him meaningfully.

"Oh, you wound me." Jhonny said dramatically, putting his right hand on top of his heart.

Nat raised her arms preparing herself to punch him in the face.

"Nat." I called out and said, "You have paint on your face."

She dropped her hand to her face to locate the smudge. I saw Jhonny help her by taking hold of her hand to help her locate the blue smudge right below her left eye.

Nat shook her head and stomped her way towards the kitchen. I looked at Jhonny and he was following her with his eyes. I stole a look at the cretin and saw he was busy playing wrestling with the boys.

I turned back to the not so little Jhonny any more but he was staring at the swinging door leading to the kitchen. I cleared my throat to make him notice me.

"Care to tell me what that was all about?" I asked, raising my eyebrows when I had his attention.

He just shrugged and said, "She's been hanging out with that Vince guy. I'm not sure if he can be trusted."

"Ah."I nodded in understanding and patted him in the back before saying, "But you're gonna make sure that he is, right?"

"Absolutely." He said softly, staring intently at the door towards the kitchen.

I turned around and smiled widely at my husband, whose arms were full of the twins. They were literally dangling from his arms but both had smiles on their faces. He returned the smile, knowing what I was about.

What can I say? I want every one to be happy. Okay. That's enough corniness from me. I got my wish. I have the cretin with me plus I have two angels. Life can't be better than this.

Mike looked up from his preoccupation with the twins to smile at me, "I'd like another pair." looking meaningfully at the twins.

I heard someone gasp. I turned around and saw that it was Natalie minus the smudge on her cheek was gone now. Jhonny was wearing the same expression as she was. They were both horrified.

I chuckled at the look on their faces before picking up the basket from the floor and handing it to the monsters. Jhonny took it from me and held it still looking at me apprehensively.

"You two were worse." I said, looking at him pointedly.

"No, we weren't." Natalie protested.

The cretin sat down ungracefully on the couch, letting the twins drop on the furniture as well. When the cretin had his arms on the boys' shoulders he said to the two, "Yes, you were Cinderella."

Natalie tried to protest at the use of her childhood nickname but Jhonny beat her to the punch, "Your children are a menace."

Natalie nodded in. acquiescence. So, now they're a team?

"No, they're angels. You two however..." I let the sentence hang, leaving the two with incredulous expressions on their faces.

I joined the cretin and the kids on the couch. Tyrone stood up to let me have his place then climbed over my lap. With an action that reminded me of my monster of a sister, he placed his little hands on my cheeks and said, "Mommy, daddy says he loves you very much."

I smiled at him and kissed his forehead before turning to my husband. "You sure you could handle the bruises the second time?" I teased.

"Absolutely." He said with conviction.

"I want a sister mommy." Tyler blurted out. He was sitting beside the cretin but he was leaning towards my direction.

Tyrone, not to be outdone by his brother proclaimed, "You can have twins again. Just like me and Tyler."

I smiled at their quips and said, "We'll see."

"You kids want to here a story?" The cretin asked my two angels after they were satisfied with my answer.

The two nodded vigorously.

"Here we go." I heard Natalie grumble from the side. But I could see that she stayed put to hear what the cretin's new story was.

Mike winked at me then turned his attention to the kids. "Let me tell you a story about a lobster named Jimmy..."

I heard an "Argh!" coming from my sister before the she disappeared inside the kitchen again this time with Jhonny in tow.

I smiled and shook my head at those two, they'll figure things out. They always do.

As for me and the cretin, I'd like to think we'll always be together. There will be times when I'd want to smack the cretin on the head but we'll always find a way to mend our fences. Alright! I'll probably give in to temptation sometimes but definitely not in front of the kids though.

I know I'll be spending the rest of my days with the cretin. And when my children leave for college and all that's left is me and him, I know we'll still be the two crazy kids who fell in love at first sight.

Author's Note:

It's finally done! Yey! If you're wondering why this is short, I meant it to be that way. Epilogues are supposed to be a glimpse of the character's lives in the future. I'm not so sure about putting up a sequel but I have a few ideas in mind...

Thank you to the people who have stood by this story from the start. I'd like to give a shout out to these people---- chic rebel, funsize or tutto il vostro, Mrdarcylover, Lene-pooh, Callisto Jean and chupchups.

And to the people who has put me in their favorites. As of now, there are about 12 and 55 for the story! Yey!

Also, a special mention to DeathOfTheGraveyard who became my beta, sort of! Miss ya! Miss take-out! Hahahaha!

I'll be posting a new story real soon. Soon means as soon as I can get my lazy self to finish the 1st chapter. Hahahaha!
