Radiance saturates Dam Square
He swears it's by some divine
Ethereal air but it emanates from a
Girl with a smile to ignite the earth

Captivated by the way she's an
Illuminate display of strength
And by the encircled people
Drenched with that serene
Unique, contented beam

He asks can he stay a while
She's happy to oblige for as long
As he's inclined to make graceful
Origami shapes in thanks for all
He's learned of life and all its worth

It hurts to leave her but he's grateful
For the time he shared on a June
Afternoon in Dam Square in the
Divine, sublime, ethereal air of a
Girl with a smile to ignite the earth
