Hung Up

Do you ever feel yourself,

Hanging onto something,

When there's nothing left?

Stuck in denial,

But not sure what of.

Hoping for the best

But questioning your bets.

Wishing it were over,

That it never began.

But wondering if that came true,

The regrets you would accept.

Decent is acceptable,

But could you do any better?

A sigh is released.

You're stressed, full of heat.

Sit down for awhile.

Forget what has come.

But remember-it's not done.

You've got to figure this out.

Turn that frown into a smile.
