Biology – Tribute
She sat silently
Listening to shuffling paper
Scratching pens
And sighing people.
The clock seemed to stop
Her brain stopped working
All she saw was
Lines, letters and empty space.
The boy infront
He knows it all,
Writing away feverishly.
To both sides people
Bend over their work,
Intent on getting it done.
She has finished already,
Half an hour to go,
Questions left blank,
Others made up.
She quessed most of it.
She doesn't care,
Its taking too long.
She's waiting to hear
Those precious words
'alright, pens down,
the exams over,
you can go.'
