Sweet Skin

You were the cause of blisters and bite marks,
Scratches, aches, and sore lips;
Shaky legs and weakened arms.
I still had bruises and scars from past mistakes
Where things had gotten out of hand.
But together we passed the test,
We crossed the line,
One that lay faded beneath my feet from wear.
Makeup smears and blotches from the heat
Lay across my porcelain skin.
I tasted my own sweat on your unrelenting lips.
You were the best I'd ever had.
